   I've had enough of getting news every day of people dying in shitty boats while they try to escape to safety and all other horrendous news about people on the run from their homes, people like us who just happened to live in a country at war - it could have been anyone of us, or our mother, father, sister, cousin, child, niece or best friend but we are lucky. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

   I will personally feature everyone who writes on this journal that they have signed and shared this petition in this journal. Please do this with me, share a journal and ask your watchers to sign and you to feature everyone who comment that they have on your journal. If each of us do this it will spread like a wildfire on dA and we will show the EU leaders that the time to act is NOW, not tomorrow, not next week, not in a month or year from but NOW. Let us members on dA be part of a positive force to make the world a better place.

   To all Heads of State and Government of the EU, and the President of the European Commission:

   We, citizens from around the world, call on you to lead the world to a humane 21st century global refugee policy that saves lives and protects the people fleeing war and hunger. We urge you to significantly increase the number of refugees to be resettled and relocated across Europe in a way that shares responsibility across the EU and reunites families, give financial and technical support to countries on the frontline of the crisis like Greece, and ensure no security actions hinder rescue efforts or put those seeking sanctuary at risk.
